Dawn Charleston-Green, award-winning author of Heeeyy Dandelion!, is a wife and mother, as well as teacher, life blogger, self-published author, publishing consultant, book strategist and speaker. Dawn taught high school English in the Louisiana Public School System, and also served as a Guidance Counselor.
In addition to her work in education, Dawn served as a Director in Child Advocacy, acting in the best interest of abused and neglected children in the foster care system; ensuring their physical, emotional, and educational well-being.
Dawn and her husband, Leon, are both United States Army Veterans, partners in ministry and have a blended family of 5 adult children, and one adopted daughter. She uses her life experiences, coupled with her Christian faith, to provide valuable content and conversations for women, children, and families.
Dawn is also the founder, creator, and CEO of Dawn of New Day 365, LLC. The DND365 movement focuses on women journeying through everyday life –the good, the bad, the ugly, and the unexpected: overcoming with TRUTH and TRANSPARENCY, in a way that leads to TRANSFORMATION.
Dawn is a graduate of Northwestern State University of Louisiana where she received a Bachelor's of Art in English in 1996, a Master's of Education in Counseling in 2003, and is 12 hours shy of a doctoral degree in Educational Leadership. Dawn is a 30 year member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
In addition to the "Heeeyy Dandelion Collection" Dawn Charleston-Green is also the author of the award-winning 5-Day Morning C.O.F.F.E.E. Devotion - a devotion written to help women develop and deepen their Christian faith; New Day of G.R.A.C.E. - a 21-day devotional written with the intent of helping women facing the difficulties of starting over after a setback, loss, or disappointment; and she is the co-author and publisher of 2023 award-winning children's book Rudy the Smart Kid which celebrates confidence and giftedness in black and brown boys.

2022 Best Book Awards
American Book Fest announced the winners and finalists of The 2022 Best Book Awards. Author, Dawn Charleston-Green, was among the over 400 winners and finalists announced in over 90 categories. Awards were presented for titles published between 2020-2022.
Jeffrey Keen, President and CEO of American Book Fest said this year’s contest yielded thousands of entries from authors and publishers around the world, which were then narrowed down to the final results.
Winners and finalists traversed the publishing landscape from major publishers like HarperCollins, McGraw Hill, and Penguin Random House, to hundreds of Independent Publishers.

Religion - Christianity and Religion - General for the title: The 5-Day Morning COFFEE Devotion -- a daily devotional written to provide both a message and a method to help Christian women develop or deepen their faith walk.
